CHRISTIAN SYMPATHY to the FAMILY and FRIENDS of:
Larry Carey,77, of Huntington, WV, whose funeral was Sat., Sept. 3. He was the husband of Barbara Carey, and step-father of Brian (Leigh) Bellomy.
Margaret Kish Fadlevich, 97, of Ona, WV, whose funeral was Sat., Sept. 3. She was a friend to many of our church members who were her neighbors on Sunny Drive.
Mae “Pooch” Aldene Black Inscoe, 83, of Huntington, WV, whose funeral was Thurs., Sept. 1. She was a friend to several in our church.
HOSPITALIZED:
JB Caldwell, SMMC, rm.# 6102. He is having several health issues and needs our prayers.
Carson Casey, CH-H. He is being treated for pulmonary embolisms. He is a 16-year-old friend of Luke Lunsford.
Connie Chapman, Hospital in NC. She fell on a return trip from Fl, and had successful emergency hip surgery on Wed., Aug.31.
HEALTH CONCERNS:
Viola Adkins is being treated for a bad case of shingles, which are healing. She’s still in lots of pain.
Jack Dailey, son of Naomi Dailey, continues to need our prayers as he recovers from a recent defibrillator/pacemaker installation.
John Horn, pastor of Kara Litteral’s mother’s church, is recovering from successful heart surgery.
Sam Litteral had tests in Lexington, KY on Thurs., Sept.1.
Susan McComas had a successful procedure this week.
Peggy Neal is still having issues with her shoulder. Her CT scan showed a hairline fracture, and she is starting light therapy.
Mollie Perry asks prayer for her cousin, Ritchie, who is responding somewhat better to his treatments for brain cancer, and for her sister – in – law, Eddie, who is undergoing some test.
Patricia Ray, has early-stage Alzheimer’s and need a knee replacement. She is Connie Morrison’s sister, and sister -in -law of Stella Bartram and Gina Flora.
Carolyn Shaver, mother of Cassie Maynor, is being evaluated for cancer treatments. Radiation is not a possibility.
Tyler Smith, the young man who was hit by a train several months ago, continues to improve, but has a long road to go toward recovery. He also needs salvation.
Butch Vititoe is home and remains under a doctor’s care.
Sonny Waugh had shoulder replacement surgery on Thurs., Sept.1.

CARD SHOWER: Kathy Ryder’s birthday is Sept.11. If you would like to send her a greeting, there is a box on the foyer table for birthday/encouragement cards, which will be delivered to her on her birthday. We hope this will surprise her and lift her spirits.

Sat., Sept. 10, 8 am – Youth Ministries will leave to go work at Facing Hunger Food Bank in Huntington, until noon. They will pack boxes to be distributed at various drop off points. They need the following items to take with them: Hamburger Helper, Pasta, Rice and Rice packets, and pinto beans. Thanks!
Sat., Sept. 10, 1:30 pm (Game starts at 2:30 pm) – Adult Ministries will sponsor a viewing of the MU vs. Notre Dame Football game in the Family Center, complete with concessions. Bring a lawn chair if you like.
