ANNOUNCEMENTS

The MISSION PROJECT for September is Love in a Shoebox Postage. Samaritan’s Purse continues to share the eternal hope of the Gospel and serve in Jesus’ name through Operation Christmas Child. They want boys and girls around the world to know God loves them and has not forgotten them during this time of fear and uncertainty. The cost of shipping is $10 per box. If you wish to donate, put Shoebox on the memo line of your check. Thanks.

for 2023 are on the foyer tables, courtesy of Evangelistic Outreach. There will also be a schedule to read through the Bible chronologically. The WVBC ABWM Bible Book of the Month for September is Obadiah.

TODAY: 12:30 pm – Widows/ Singles Luncheon at Lighthouse Baptist Church. Guest speaker will be Jennifer Chapman, Director of Development at Lily’s Place. Call Kandi Messinger for more details.

Sun., Sept. 10, 6 pm – ABWM (Family Center) and ABMM (Caldwell Classroom) resume their meetings after a summer break. All men and women are encouraged to become active in these groups.

Sun., Sept. 10, 2:45 pm – Jesus Kids sing at Paramount Senior Living.

Sat., Sept. 16 – In Stitches & Sew Blest Quilt Groups will be traveling to Faith Freewill Baptist Church to help make burp cloths with Ann Blankenship’s Quilt group. The group will carpool from our church parking lot at 8 am. Let Karen Caldwell know if you are interested. (Lunch will be provided.)

Sat., Sept 16, 8 am – Noon – The Youth Ministries will be traveling to Face the Hunger Food Bank in Huntington.

Mon., Sept. 18 – Mon., Oct. 30 – Ladies Bible Study, Family Center. The group will be using In the Footsteps of the Savior, by Max Lucado. (Books can be purchased on Amazon.) Snacks will begin at 5:30 pm, and study will begin at 6 pm. See Connie Chapman for more etails.

Fri., Sept 22 – “I CAN” a movie for the whole family will be playing at Pullman Square in Huntington. This movie was directed by Tyler Sansom. A sign – up sheet is on the foyer table.

Sun., Sept. 24, 7 pm – Children’s Ministry Awards.
