CHRISTIAN SYMPATHY to the FAMILY & FRIENDS of:
Donna Kay Donahoe Beckett,72, of Salt Rock, WV, whose funeral was Fri., Feb. 2. She was an aunt of Jimmy Beckett.

Robert Conley,62, of Milton, WV, whose graveside service will be today, Feb. 4. He was the fiancé of Bobbie Jo Scarberry, aunt of Chris (Erin) Carter.

The Larsen Family of Culloden, WV. Dylan, his father, Donavan, and his grandmother, Deanna Early, perished this week in a car accident. Dylan was 8 yrs. old and attended Culloden Elementary. He played sports with children from the Milton and Ona communities.

Maxine Turley, of Milton, WV, whose arrangements were not yet available. She was the mother of Martha Turley, and sister-in-law of Patty Morrison and Gene Caldwell.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

The MISSION PROJECT for February is New Beginnings Crisis Pregnancy Center a non-profit organization in Huntington, WV offering compassionate peer counseling and assistance to women, teens, and parents during a planned or unplanned pregnancy. The center offers a variety of free and confidential services including pregnancy testing, parenting classes, and peer counseling. They are dedicated to providing education and resources to assist throughout the pregnancy and the healthy birth of a child. If you wish to make a donation, please write NBCPC on your check memo.

The ABWM Community Outreach Project for February is bath towels, hand towels, wash cloths, and diapers for Harmony House. Thanks to everyone who brought coats for the Huntington City Mission last month.     

A DIRECTORY UPDATE with 911 address changes we had received thru 11/30/23 is on the foyer tables. If your address still needs updating, please let Debbie or Jo know. Addresses containing Route and Box numbers are obsolete, and mail may be returned.

FEBRUARY EVENTS

Mon., Feb. 5, 7 pm – Board of Deacons Meeting, Family Center.

Tues., Feb. 6, 13, 20, 27 – 10 am – Sew Blest, Family Center.

Wed., Feb. 7, 5:45 pm – Youth Ministries will host a Souper Bowl of Caring Dinner in the Family Center. All donations will go to the Huntington City Mission. The menu will include: BBQ, baked beans, mac n’ cheese, drinks, and desserts. Everyone is invited to attend.

Thurs., Feb. 8,15,22,29 – 6 pm – In Stitches, Family Center.

Sat., Feb.10, 12 Noon – Widows and Singles Luncheon at Lighthouse Baptist Church. The Theme is “The Heart of God for Widows.” Special music will be provided by Victor Close. Please bring a photo of your husband and be prepared to share a special memory.

Sun., Feb. 11 – Newsletter Deadline. Please give information to Jo Ross.

Sun., Feb. 11 – SOUPER BOWL OF CARING. Youth Ministries will be accepting donations for the Huntington City Mission.

Sun., Feb. 18, noonish – Chili/Soup Cook-off, Family Center. See Erin Carter for sign-up and more information. All proceeds will benefit CMHS Knight’s Great Hall.

Mon., Feb. 19, 5:30 pm – Ladies Bible Study Fellowship, Family Center. Soup and sandwiches will be on the menu. All ladies are invited to attend. “Fill My Cup Lord” will be the title of the devotion, and all ladies are asked to bring their favorite cup or mug.

Sat., Feb. 24, 8:30 am –ABMM Prayer Breakfast at Camp Ona. All men are invited to attend.
