ANNOUNCEMENTS

The MISSION PROJECT for June is Lily’s Place. Lily’s Place opened its doors in October 2014 as the first Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome (NAS) Center in the United States. This facility provides observational, therapeutic, and pharmacological care to infants suffering from prenatal drug exposure. They use proven therapeutic handling methods and the latest weaning techniques to make these babies as comfortable as possible. If you wish to make a contribution, please write LP on your check memo. Thanks!

Daily Bible Reading Calendars for 2024 are on the foyer tables, courtesy of Evangelistic Outreach. There will also be a schedule to read through the Bible chronologically. The WVBC ABWM Bible Book of the Monthfor June is I Chronicles.

The ABWM Community Outreach Project for June is newborn socks, paper towels, and reuseable shopping bags. These items will go to Lily’s Place to be used as care packages forbabies as they prepare to go home with their parents, or as the need arises.Please place items in the basket in the foyer. Thanks!

Sesquicentennial Quilt: Please stop by the foyer table to sign a block for the quilt. (We would like to have at least one block per family.) Please do this ASAP. Blocks will be on the table until June. 30th. (Someone will be at the table to assist you.) Thanks!

On Sat., June 22 we will have a “Dinner on the Ground,” the first of our events to celebrate our 150th Church Anniversary, in the picnic shelter area. Hamburgers and hot dogs and all the fixins’ will be furnished. Please bring picnic side dishes and desserts. We will top it off with homemade ice cream! Four young preachers from this church will speak (15 minutes or so each): Jason Salmons, Tim Messinger, Jeff Fetty, and Tracy Mills. There will be some good singing too! Please park in front of the church and leave the side area free for the gathering. Bring a lawn chair if you like. (If the weather does not cooperate, we will meet in the Family Center.)
