The MISSION PROJECT for August is The Salvation Army.
The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian church. Its’ message is based on the Bible. Its’ ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its’ mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination. The Salvation Army is a nonprofit, tax-exempt charitable organization. Daily Bible Reading Calendars for 2024 are on the foyer tables, courtesy of Evangelistic Outreach. The WVBC ABWM Bible Book of the Monthfor August is II Chronicles.
Tonight: 6 pm – Jesus Kids Practice. This is for children kindergarten through 6th grade.
ATTENDANCE CONTEST is underway for Children’s Ministries. The winner will go on a day trip to Noah’s Ark on Sat., Oct. 12.
HELP NEEDED: Ann and Paul Hinkley are looking for volunteers to help with the Good News Club that meets at Milton Elementary every Thursday after school until 5:00 pm. (Volunteers help with songs, snacks, bathroom breaks, checking in/out, writing prayer requests, games, playground supervision, and teaching.)
