Donald Ralph Young, 89, of Carlisle PA, whose funeral was Sat., Dec. 21. He was a brother of the late Phil (Ruby) Young.
The MISSION PROJECT for December is Lily’s Place. Lily’s Place opened its doors in October 2014 as the first Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome (NAS) Center in the United States. This facility provides observational, therapeutic, and pharmacological care to infants suffering from prenatal drug exposure. They use proven therapeutic handling methods and the latest weaning techniques to make these babies as comfortable as possible. If you wish to make a contribution, please write LP on your check memo.

DECEMBER EVENTS
Wed., Dec. 25, 7 pm – Fireside Christmas Service, in the sanctuary. Come prepared to share a Christmas memory, poem, or your favorite song. (There will not be any nursery or children’s church.)
Sun., Dec. 29, 11:00 – Sesquicentennial Celebration!
We will have an extended morning worship service which will include presentations from WVBC Area Minister Evan Arkell and the WV Baptist Historical Society guests.
We will be having special music and other presentations, and our former Assistant Pastor, Tracy Mills, will open the time capsule, which was created in 1999 at our 125th Anniversary.
We will also fill a new time capsule to be opened in 2049
After the service, we will have a soup and sandwich dinner in the Family Center furnished by our Hospitality Committee. (Contributions of soups, sandwiches, and desserts will be appreciated.)
Our new Historical Quilt will be on display, and you are encouraged to stay and fellowship and enjoy the Historical Display Room.
There will be no evening service.
