ANNOUNCEMENTS
The MISSION PROJECT for May is Camp Cowen. Donations will be used to send our students to camp this summer. (Camp schedules are listed in this bulletin.) Applications can be completed on line, or you can get one from the youth leaders or church secretary. If you wish to contribute, please write Camp Cowen on the memo of your check. Thanks!
Daily Bible Reading Calendars for 2024 are on the foyer tables, courtesy of Evangelistic Outreach. There will also be a schedule to read through the Bible chronologically. The WVBC ABWM Bible Book of the Month for May is Hebrews.
The ABWM Community Outreach Project for May is new sweatpants, sweatshirts, and disposable underwear for both men and women. (Sweatpants should be elastic, not drawstring). These will be going to Cabell Health Care in Culloden. (Many patients here do not have family who can or will supply them with their needs.) Please place all donations in the basket in the foyer. Thank You!
Sesquicentennial Quilt: Please stop by the foyer table to sign a block for the quilt. (We would like to have at least one block per family.) The Sew Blest and In Stitches groups will be turning these blocks into a quilt to celebrate our 150th anniversary. Please do this ASAP. Blocks will be on the table until June. 30th. (Someone will be at the table to assist you.) Thanks!
Children’s Ministry: Grandparents, aunts, and uncles, if you would like a special VBS postcard invitation sent to someone, give the name and address to Leigh Bellomy. Thanks!
VBS Needs: Empty small Pringle cans, and Shoeboxes. Volunteers are needed to help lead kids around to the different centers during VBS. Please see Boo if you are interested in helping this year!
Youth Ministries VBS Needs: New coloring books (adult’s and children’s), crayons, colored pencils, and puzzle books, such as word search and crosswords.
Thank – You: Jesus Kids say a great big “Thanks” to Tom and Susan McComas for hosting the end of the year swim party at their home last week.
